The Brazilian industry and foreign trade ministry's commerce chamber (Camex) has determined to impose an antidumping (AD) duties on imports of non-grain-oriented (NGO) electrical steel from China, Korea and Taiwan for five years.
Camex stated that the AD duty rate is between US$132.5/ton and US$567.16/ton for the mentioned products. The Harmonized System Code Numbers of the products involved in this case are 7225.19.00 and 7226.19.00.
Meanwhile, Camex began the AD duty investigation in April, 2012 after finding the imports of those products caused material injury to local industry.
